I recently had the opportunity to interview my friend Dr. Alastair Roberts, who I met last spring during the Davenant Institute’s Protestant Wisdom Primer. We discuss here his recently published book Echoes of Exodus: Tracing Themes of Redemption through Scripture, which was a collaborative project with Andrew Wilson. Among other things, we cover the musical character of Scripture and its subsequent relevance to our daily Christian experience. We also survey the historical relationship between the arts and the Christian faith, and how this might inform artistic efforts in our current context. You can listen to the episode here.
You can also find his writing here, and keep up with his prolific podcasting shenanigans here.
