Poem of the Week: A Week of Rain

A Week of Rain

This misty rain has settled on my heart
And has healed it, at least in part;
Doing the work that only water can.

It falls, not slicing through the air in drops
But sinking from the sky, it stops;
Suspended, hung for me to breath it in.

The sunlight’s absence once more reminding
Of yet other joys worth finding;
A true friend makes room for other friends too.
